Life and Missionary Works of Saint Francis Xavier

Patron of all foreign missions and Navarre, Francis Xavier co-founded the Jesuits.  He preached Christ in Rome, Africa, Goa, India, Japan, the eastern Indonesian Islands, and Ming China, where he died. Saint Francis Xavier, Apostle to the East, pray for us. 

Collect Prayer for the Feast of Saint Francis Xavier

O |God, Who dist will o gather into 

Thy Church the nations of the Indies

by the preaching and miricles of Francis Xaiver;

mercifully grant that we who honor his glorious 

merits, may also imitate the example of his virtues, 

Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns, 

with the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever.
