Saint Saturninus' holy life quelled much of the activity of pagan worship in Toulouse; he was the cities' first bishop, elevated to that rank in during the reign of Decius. The pagans captured the holy bishop, tied him to a bull, and ran the bull down a hillside.
O God, Who givest us to rejoice in the feast of Thy blessed martyr Saint Saturninus; grant that we may be helped by his merits. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who Liveth and Reigth with you and the Holy Ghost, One God, forever and ever. Amen.
