Life and Martyrdom of Saints Fabian and Sebastain

Pope Saint Fabian sent Saint Denis to Paris (as well as other missionaries to Gaul). In addition, he organized the Dioceses of Rome into districts, with a subdeacon leading each district, He was put to death in 250, under order of the emperor Decius. Saint Sebastain was born a few years after Fabain's death. He joined the army with the explicit purpose  of aiding Christians. He did this, in addition to bringing many others to the Faith. He beliefs and goals were discovered by Roman authorities and was put to the stake. He did not die, but rather ran back to Diocletain to lead to him to repent. His skull was brought to France and then Germany, where it was widely venerated. Saints Fabain and Sebastain, pray for us. 

Collect Prayer for the Feast of Saints Fabian and Sebastain

Be mindful of our weakness, almighty God, and since 

the burden of our sins weighs heavily upon us, may 

the glorious intercession of thy holy Martyrs Fabian 

and Sebastian sustain us. Trough Jesus Christ, thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. Amen.
